Summer Warmth Beckons

Funny that I finally know,
What it feels like, snow,
Yet I feel something amiss,
Something in my past I reminisce,

Was I prepared for what’s in store?
Did I find what I came looking for?
The same questions I pondered a year ago,
They plague me still, today and tomorrow,

Summer’s warmth beckons,
To where do I return?
Listening to the poet within,
Perhaps this is where my life begins.

Author’s Note: I’m feeling particularly inspired today. Definitely not the best I’ve written but one of the more recent ones that I like.
